Anaehoomalu Beach

Anaeho’omalu Beach is located on the Big Island of Hawaii. Anaeho’omalu is pronounced Ah nye ho-oh mah loo.

Anaehoomalu Bay, or it’s often referred to as “A Bay” for short, is a Pacific Ocean inlet that borders the luxurious Waikoloa Beach Resort, on the South Kohala Coast of the Big Island.

A portion of Anaeho’omalu Beach can be found behind the Royal Waikoloan Hotel. Visitors can also find access from the south end.

With very little surf, the calm, the blue ocean waters makes Anaehoomalu Bay a perfect location for all your outdoor beach activities including: swimming, snorkeling, kayaking, boogie boarding, wind surfing and diving.

In addition, the area is a favorite mooring spot for small boats and various charter boat cruises.

The tropical beach is long with white sand, and also covered with amazing coconut palm trees.

If a workout is what you desire, then try volleyball and a short fitness course, located on the northern end of the Anaeho’omalu Beach.

It’s a short 20 mile trip north of Kona, so make the trip and enjoy this tropical paradise. Head towards the ocean on Waikoloa Beach drive. Make a left across from the Kings shops at the sign that says “Beach.”
