This is a Maui Eco-Adventures signature hike. Nestled deep in the rainforest are lush tropical valleys undisturbed by passage of time.
Where ancient Hawaiian kings bathed and pools became sacred. Lost in time some say this is the real Hawaii where soft hues of green blend together for an unforgettable adventure into the hidden secrets of the rainforest.
The trail head begins south of Hana in the pristine Kipahulu Valley where Maui’s ultimate waterfalls tumble hundreds of feet into deep pools. This adventure will take you on a 5 mile hike into the rainforest where you will enjoy secret networks of clear pools and cascading waterfalls.
Your journey through the rainforest will take you through towering forests of bamboo guiding you to incredible waterfalls hundreds of feet tall. The sights, the sounds of the jungle will leave you at peace and one with nature.
Give us a day, and we will give you the adventure of a lifetime. This adventure is great for the entire family. This hike is considered medium. Please use good judgment when bringing children along. Rule of thumb is no less than 8 years old to be able handle the distance. Advance reservations required.
Maui Eco-Adventures provides a continental breakfast of fruit, muffins and coffee to start off your morning in paradise. Also included are hip packs, towels, jackets, snacks and water for your comfort. Maui Eco Adventures recommends that you wear either hiking boots or sneakers for this event. Remember to bring plenty of film for your camera, sunscreen and of course wear your swim suit for that refreshing swim in one of Maui’s hidden waterfalls. Lunch is also included with this adventure. Choices for lunch are Turkey or Veggie sandwiches.
Maui Eco-Adventures keeps the groups small with not more than 12 guests per hike. It takes 4 to confirm the adventure. This event is offered daily. Advance reservations are required!
Maui Eco-Adventures provides hotel pick up for this event for West Side guests. Depending on what resort you are staying in depends on the pick up time and location. Some areas are bundled together for a centralized pick up. Pick up begins at the Ritz Carlton at 6.45am and continues towards Kaanapali with the last pick up being about 7.25am in Lahaina. This depends on how spread out the guests per resort, per van.
South side guests will meet Maui Eco-Adventures at the south parking lot of the Maui Ocean Center in Maalaea across from the 76 gas station at 7.45am.
This is an all day adventure and you can expect a return of about 5.00pm. Source
