Larsen’s Beach – Kauai

Larsen's Beach Kauai

Larsen’s Beach on the Hawaiian island of Kauai, is a remote and undeveloped beach on the north shore of Kauai between Moolaa Bay and Waiakalua.

Larsen’s Beach was named after the Kilauea sugar plantation manager L. David Larsen.

The beach is narrow and approximately two miles long. There is a offshore reef filled with sea life and is perfect for snorkeling. Since the beach is so remote, don’t be surprised if you see some nude sunbathers.

It seems you can walk for miles along Larsen’s Beach. If you bring reef-walking sneakers to protect your feet, you can walk around in the shallow water and watch colorful fish who don’t seem afraid of people.

Take the time to wander along the magnificent waves, hunt for shells, or simply lose yourself in the spectacle of nature’s beauty.
