Kauai By Air – Jack Harter Helicopters

by Luxe Living on April 15, 2009

If you ever take a helicopter ride in Hawaii, do so on Kauai. The majority of the most beautiful places, waterfalls, sea cliffs, and Mountain Waialeale itself can only be seen from the air. I recommend Jack Harter Helicopters but there are many other good choices.

Jack brought his first helicopter to Kauai in 1962. He had visited the island and knew from his initial experience that the best way to view the spectacular and rugged beauty of Na Pali, the Waimea Canyon, and Wai’ale’ale would be from the safety and comfort of a helicopter.

Jack Harter offers several different tours, but the best buy for your money is their 90 minute tour designed for serious photographers. It only runs once a day, so reservations ahead of time are a key. Helicopter tours won’t fly in questionable weather. It’s not safe and customers would not get their money’s worth. Reserve your flight for early in your visit so that if it gets cancelled due to weather, you can reschedule.

The diversity of Kauai’s landforms and terrain provides something new and fascinating to view throughout the flight. Each tour is unique and unforgettable. Buckle up, and enjoy the scenic ride.
